Western Harvest Ministries is just about in full gear for our Dallas Cowboys Stadium Outreach. It has been such a blessing to have such a faithful team of volunteers that for the third year running have helped us to maintain our commitments with the stadium. With each passing venue the Lord seems to always bring opportunities to share and to receive many different types of blessings. We are always looking for more families and individuals to join our team and to assist us in fulfilling our ministry vision. The following are the events to come and should you feel like helping us at any of them, please feel free to contact our office at 817-995-9087.Thank you in advance for all your help and support.

Louisiana State University and the University of Oregon will open the 2011 college football season on Sept. 3, 2011 in the "Cowboys Classic" at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in prime time on ESPN. This will be the fourth time the schools have played each other, with LSU leading the series 2-1. Oregon is currently ranked No. 7 in the latest Associated Press poll while LSU is No. 19. The LSU-Oregon contest will mark the second consecutive year in which the Tigers will open the season at a neutral site and on prime time national television. LSU opened the 2010 season last week with a 30-24 victory over North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta. The game will mark the third year of a five-year agreement between Cowboys Stadium and ESPN to bring a top college football game to the new stadium each year during the Labor Day holiday weekend to start the college football season. The previous two contests have featured nationally ranked teams with Brigham Young University upsetting the University of Oklahoma 14-13 in 2009 and Texas Christian University knocking off Oregon State 30-21 this past weekend. The 2011 contest between LSU and Oregon will be the fourth-ever meeting between the two schools, and first since the 1977 season, while it also marks the first appearance for both squads at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Tickets for this event are Sold Out
